Server is lagging
Main lag causes and how to solve them:
1) Not enough resources (RAM)
This can be solved through various methods. A) Get plugins that reduce lag. Two great plugins for this are React and ClearLagg.
Setup ClearLagg so that it automatically reduces the amount of entities and you will notice your server having more RAM.
B) Limit the amount of plugins that you use. For every 1GB of RAM there should only be about 20 plugins (So 2GB should be 40, 3GB 60 etc).
C) Limit the amount of worlds you have. Many servers try making a separate world for each minigame when it just isn't necessary. Try not to have more than 2 worlds per GB of RAM.
D) Upgrade your server. This is especially necessary if you are experiencing OutOfMemory errors. You can upgrade from our client area at any time.
2) Plugin malfunction
These can be solved by looking in the console for the plugin's error. If you find an error message, it is recommended that you try looking up the error message to find threads online that describe how to solve it. You also want to keep your plugins up to date, so if you find that your plugin is not working right, the first thing to do is to update it. Another solution would be to change your server jar version. If you're running Spigot/Bukkit, update them to the latest version.
3) Connection lag
If your players are experiencing connection lag (bad ping/latency) it is recommended that you move your server location to where your players are mostly located. For example, if most of your players are in North America, and your server is in France, we recommend you move your server to Miami or Canada.
